In the snowy mountains, look for spot to gather crystals near the elder. It's a blue ice chunk.
When hunting Tigerex, put it to sleep, then use a Great Sword's charge attack on its head to badly wound or kill it. Have a Gunner or Sleep Knives ready.
You can block a Gyperos flash.

Great start against yian kut ku or garuga

First get 3 small bomb 2 large bomb and a shock trap then on before going make them on to small and large bomb + trap the monster set the two large ones fast then set one small near it then BOOM! fried kut ku then use the other small bomb when needed.
